Road to the Battle.
The Road to the Battle of Atlanta Championship Series is a six-month season of regional & national tournaments that lead directly to the 59th Battle of Atlanta. The road begins in Huntsville and moves through Franklin, Cumming, Chattanooga, and Gulf Shores before coming to end at the championship weekend in Atlanta. This Road Series gives athletes a clear path to the Battle of Atlanta while remaining open to any and all participants at every stop.
What's the Road Series all about?
Following the Road to the Battle series gives competitors a direct path to stronger positioning at the 59th Battle of Atlanta. Each stop stands as its own tournament while also feeding into the larger championship. Athletes who compete in Huntsville, Franklin, Cumming, Chattanooga, or Gulf Shores gain tournament experience and results that translate into seeding and team points before they arrive in Atlanta.
Those who follow the Road enter the 59th Battle of Atlanta with seeding, regional ratings points, and real earned competition experience. The championship remains open to everyone, but Road results create real advantages.
Individual Under Belt athletes can earn top four seeding for Battle of Atlanta through the accumulation of OWT regional points from their final results at each of the Road stops.
Additionally, teams accumulate points toward the Road Series Cup, rewarding consistent and dedicated participation across the entire series. More information on the Road Series Cup below.
At every Road stop, competitors also have the chance to train directly with the best athletes in the business through our Equipped Seminar Series and our Battle Ready Fighter Series. These sessions give athletes the opportunity to sharpen techniques, develop strategies, and enhance their ring craft with current and former world champions.
Parents and coaches can plan a connected season instead of isolated weekends. Younger athletes get repeated competition under consistent standards, while coaches track progress toward the Road Series Cup and give their teams a clearer path to the one of the Battle's main event shows.
Competitors and schools that appear at multiple stops also gain greater visibility and promotion. Results, content, and athlete recognition build across the Southeast, so athletes and teams arrive in Atlanta with more exposure than a single, one-weekend event appearance provides.
To take advantage of all the Road to the Battle has to offer, register today for each of the upcoming stops and compete your way to greatness at the Battle of Atlanta.

The Road Series Cup is awarded to a single team based on total Open World Tour (OWT) points accumulated across all six Road events in individual forms, weapons, point sparring, and all team divisions. The winning team earns the Cup and includes $5,000 in prize money to be awarded at the Battle Zone Night Show in Atlanta on June 19. Teams must compete at all six road events to be eligible.

Battle of Atlanta Seeding.
Individual competitors who earn OWT Regional and Super Regional points at each Road to the Battle event can accumulate those points to earn seeding at the 2027 Battle of Atlanta in select Under Belt divisions. The top four point earners in each offered Road to the Battle division will be automatically seeded for those same divisions at Battle of Atlanta. (Example - musical divisions are not offered as stand alone divisions on the Road to the Battle series, so the musical forms & weapons divisions at Battle of Atlanta will not be seeded; however, traditional divisions are offered and will be seeded).

This will not impact Open World Tour regional or world ratings, but serves as an added bonus for individuals competing at Road Series events to earn a little something extra at the Battle of Atlanta World Karate Championships in June.
Remember, every stop counts! Register today and start building your path to Atlanta.

Battle Ready Fighter Camps are focused sparring clinics held at every stop on the Road to the Battle series. Taught by current and former World Sparring Champions, each session gives competitors direct coaching on how to improve timing, develop in-ring strategy, and enhance competition techniques in a concentrated 90-minute session on Friday night before each Road event.
These camps let athletes pressure-test and sharpen their game before getting in the ring against top competition month after month so fighters arrive in Atlanta BATTLE READY with skills and advantages their opponents never saw coming.
